ARCADIA INVITATIONAL 4/7/2012
Zach Perrin, Flathead High School placed 8th at the Arcadia Invitational in California, Saturday evening. His time of 8:55.24 is the fastest 3200 by any Montana runner. Zach ran the first 1600 in about 4:32 and ran negative splits for the second 1600 for a great finish. Kevin Clary, Flathead had the previous best of 9:07.58. Kevin ran that time in 2000 at Aracadia. The winner of the race was Futsum Zienasellassie from North Central, Indiana. His winning time was 8:47.75. There were 15 guys under 9:00 minutes.

Troy Fraley, Glacier High School ran in same race as Zach and finished 29th with a time of 9:26.78.

Paige Gilchrist, Hellgate High School ran in the Invitational for girls placing 17th with a time of 10:44.43.

Makena Morley, Big Fork finished 9th at the Footlocker Nationals on Saturday, December 10! Her time of 17:40 puts her just 18 seconds behind the winner. The winner was Molly Seidel from University Lake High School in Hartland, Wisconsin. Makena was the top freshman runner in the race.
